Using an eidophone (a device that translates vibrations into material traces thanks to a membrane containing powders such as coffee and salt), a visual atlas of our planet's soundscape comes to life. The sounds are depicted with images and organized on the pages according to Cartesian axes: hertz (frequency) on the X-axis and decibels (sound intensity) on the Y-axis. Five texts on science, music, and philosophy accompany the sequence, interspersed with photograms of the patterns generated by the eidophone.
