Oppa! is a prototype app designed to simplify the use of smartphones, aimed at elderly people or people with motor and visual impairments. The project aims to make the mobile experience more accessible through a customisable home screen, where traditional icons are replaced by simplified widgets (“blocks”) that can be configured according to the user's needs.
The structure of Oppa! consists of two components: an end-user screen with a clear, stripped-down interface, and an advanced configuration app designed for caregivers or experienced users setting up the device.
Key features include a Helper button to adjust accessibility in real time and Soft Ring notifications to support the completion of daily tasks. With Oppa!, usability becomes inclusion: simplifying means empowering.
